One of my best clients has been this awesome pizza shop in South Beach named Pizza Rustica. Founded by Pino Piroso, he opened his first Pizza Rustica in May 1996, on the corner of 9th Street and Washington in Miami Beach, Florida.
I came on board in January 2014 to update their branding and recreate their visual identity. The design was outdated and in much need of a fresh look. We began by simplifying the original logo and giving it a very modern and clean update.
Keeping the diagonal shape which represents the pizza box, I played with the fonts ultimately choosing Bebas Neue as the main font and Helvetica Neue as the font for the copy on collateral and marketing pieces. The signature tomato icon was also simplified to a one color illustration.
I have worked on all updates including: Store Displays, Uniforms, Point-of-Sale, Delivery Menus, Postcards, Flyers, Corporate level marketing, Social Media, Website, among other pieces.
Anyone who has come down to South Beach and tried this pizza will tell you that along with over 30+ varieties of pizzas, the taste is outstanding. Their signature Roman-style rectangular pans of pizza is made to order with fresh vegetables and unique gourmet toppings. Visit Pizza Rustica today!
